Very mossy lawn scarifying
Lawn moss is very bad this year, after a wet Autumn and Winter.
So using a scarifier is the easiest way to remove it.

Dealing with garden waste CHIPPING

Chipping or shredding garden waste, is a great way to deal with it and create a useful resource, free mulch or help speed up the composting process. The chip will be used to make paths in a vegetable garden.
Winter privet hedge cut back
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.4 месяца назад
This is a privet hedge, which has'nt been trimmed for two years and had become overgrown, im cutting it back hard, on both sides and the top. I only use battery powered tools, on the sides i used the Stihl hla 66 hedge trimmer and for the top which required a more powerful trimmer, so i used my hsa 94r hedge cutter. It took about a hour to cut the hedge and half hour to clear the waste up. Than...

Here im trimming a Laurel (cherry laurel) hedge, a summer time trim. First of all i cut the side, then the top and finally the other side, using a stihl hla 66, with a ap200 battery. It is a fairly easy trim to do, the key to success and achieving a good finish, is not to rush. #hedgetrimming #gardening #batterypower

Pollarding Willow tree's

Pollarding is the traditional management technique especially for willow trees. This involves removing the whole crown of the tree back to a single or multiple main "head" or "bole" from where it can re-grow a whole new crown. It is a very satisfying task to do, always enjoy such jobs. It took me and my colleague approximately 5 hours, all the chip will be left for a year or so, then be used as...

Of course the cut leaves would all have turned brown in a few days. 😮‍💨 Sad. But imagine trimiing this monster with secateurs! It takes me forever to do my two hedges, 20 and 40 yards long and only 3 feet high! No brown leaves after, but what a labour! 🥵🤧

Thanks Jason, That’s useful to know. I think I’ve let the machine dictate the pace somewhat as I thought slowing it down too much would cut more in to the lawn. Maybe I need to hold it back a little more. It does a great job but wondered if my machine was incorrectly set up from new. I guess you just have to judge the conditions and depth of moss on each lawn. Great videos btw.

Great Video We recently went to a Stihl RMA 443vc for our smaller mower after beating the life out of a swiftgarden 120v mower for a few years but couldn't run any longer due to lack of spares and customer service, So far the Stihl has been amazing running it on a 300s battery it kicks the hell out of our Husqvarna lc353ivx. I have been looking to expand our Stihl range since having the 443vc but we have nowhere around me that really carries the range of battery stuff that we would want to see and use before we buy, seeing your video really helps, as I think blower is the next thing to get ,then onto the RMA 453 PV if we can find a place to try one first
